This is a 20 minute interview conducted by the wall street journal. This interview was done with the princess of Saudi Arabia. Ameerah (which means princess) was asked questions about the beliefs and rights that woman get in Saudi Arabia. Ameerah has traveled around the world to help many people and she has seen the rights that other woman get that woman in Saudi Arabia do not. One rule in there country is that woman do not get to drive but they can fly planes and many other things but can not drive which is a rule that Ameerah thinks does not make any sense. Saudi Arabia is the only Islamic country that does not allow woman to drive. As a princess she does get some power and is trying to get the voice of there woman heard. After her uncle who is king was given the position of power woman have been given some rights. In order for a big change to help there woman it is not only the kings power but also the governments who have more control over this matter. Ameerah wants there to be written rules so that woman know there rights because for example one time a woman was caught driving and the government decided to give her a lashing because there are no written rules for the woman. I think it is not right that woman are being treated like lower class in there society and they should have equal rights as the men. This is a hard topic to deal with because this is not just a government but also a religion and culture because they are very strict about there religion.
